Amber Museum

This is a landmark place for Kaliningrad, because it is this city where the world’s largest amber deposit is located as well as the only enterprise processing “the sunstone” on a commercial scale. The museum is located in the city center, in a historic building of the Dohna Tower built in the middle of the 19th century, a part of the fortress complex on the shore of the Upper Pond.
The museum has a huge collection of natural amber pieces of various weight, color, and transparency as well as many items made of amber. The Russia’s largest single piece of amber weighing 4,280 grams is also stored here. After a visit to the exposition ensure to walk around the museum outside: admire the tower itself and the surrounding views.
Salt Gastrobar

One of the most popular Kaliningrad gastronomic spots is located at Kosmonavta Leonova Str., 55. The menu can be divided into three main parts: local products, altered dishes of the Asian cuisine, and molecular experiments. People come here for poultry liver pate with plum, venison tartare with sea buckthorn gel and fried onion mousse, halibut with black rice and seasonal mushrooms. The bar offers premium drinks and fancy cocktails.

Zaryadye Park

This contemporary, beautiful park in the center of Moscow with panoramic views of the city, entertainments, and a unique ecosystem is a great example of how something new and modern can be integrated into the historical context of the city. It’s where nature is combined with technology. The Zaryadye Park is like an oasis of tranquility in the very center of eternal movement of the capital. The most famous sight of the park is the floating bridge in the shape of a letter V or a boomerang over the Moskva River. It towers 15 meters above the water, and its length is 244.4 meters. From here you can enjoy the unsurpassed panoramic view of the Kremlin, the St. Basil’s Cathedral, or the residential building on the Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, as well as take a perfect selfie as a memento.
Druzhba (Friendship) Cheburek House

This is a real Soviet cheburek (meat pastry) house. It was opened back in the 1960s, and since then, practically nothing has changed here, except for the cost of chebureks. A classic image of the cheburek house has been preserved here: standees, minimalism of the interior, fresh chebureks with a constant queue to get one. Despite this, it is not difficult to find a free table, since people have a quick and delicious snack and leave.

Hermitage and the Palace Square

Any tourist is always welcome in the city’s key places. After a walk along the cobblestones, be sure to visit the Museum to feel the splendour of the downtown (the entrance fee to the main museum complex is 500 rubles; if you don’t want to wait in line, you’d better buy a ticket online).
You will not be able to meet the cats that are freelance employees of the museum, but you can pet the furry ones in the Soulmate Cafe on the Fontanka River Embankment or in the Republic of Cats Café in Yakubovich Street. In these cafes, the food is good as well.
Singer

A cafe at Nevsky Prospekt, 28, offers a great view of the noisy prospect and the Kazan Cathedral. If it’s not a rush hour, you can take a seat at the window. When you finish your coffee and eat the Sacher cake, don’t forget to take a walk through the halls of the bookstore to buy something. The average bill: 1,000 rubles. The bookstore, like its café, has long been the hallmark of Saint Petersburg: lately, talks about its closure have become increasingly louder. Have time to visit a symbol of intelligent Saint Petersburg before this sad event and buy unique postcards sold only in the Singer House.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Kazan – a 2-minute walk from the Al-Marjani Mosque. The menu includes dishes of Tatar and European cuisines, most of which are made in an old Tatar oven, the design of which provides for peculiar softness and juiciness of meat dishes.
